Each circle in the schematic represents the material required to punch out a 2-piece can or a can lid. There are 20 circles in the figure, which means that you can punch 20 two-piece cans or 20 can lids. In order to save the tinplate material, two edges of each tinplate are cut into corrugations. So they are called “corrugated printed tinplate sheets”.

The 3-piece can body is made of a rectangular tinplate rolled into a cylinder, and then welded firmly with a CQM-50 Automatic 3-piece Can Body Welding Machine at the seams on both sides. There are 36 rectangles in the picture, which means that 36 can bodies can be manufactured. There are spaces between the rectangles, and there can be no paint, to weld.
