Principles of Nitrogen Production of Carbon Molecular Sieves of Nitrogen Generator
The method of separating nitrogen and oxygen by using carbon as a raw material, using carbon molecular sieve as an adsorbent, using a pressure-changing adsorption principle, and selectively adsorbing oxygen and nitrogen by a carbon molecular sieve is called PSA nitrogen production.
Carbon molecular sieves can simultaneously adsorb oxygen and nitrogen in the air. Under the same pressure and for a long time, there is no obvious difference in the adsorption amount of oxygen and nitrogen. But under the same pressure, there is a big difference in the adsorption speed of the two within one minute. The diameter of oxygen molecules is smaller than that of nitrogen molecules, so the diffusion rate is hundreds of times faster than that of nitrogen, reaching more than 90% in about one minute. At this time, the nitrogen adsorption is only about 5%. By controlling the adsorption rate, oxygen and nitrogen can be separated. On the other hand, adsorption and desorption are achieved by pressure difference. When the pressure increases, it is the adsorption process, and when the pressure decreases, it is the desorption process. By changing the pressure in a short time, nitrogen can be separated.
