Description

These vacuum desiccators are large glass containers. They differ from ordinary glass desiccators in that they have a glass stopcock on top of their lid to control the vacuum in the desiccator.

The side of the plug valve has a suction port that can be connected to the laboratory small vacuum pump system via a hose to draw moisture from the desiccator. It has a much higher moisture absorption capacity than ordinary glass desiccator. But vacuum pumps and electrical energy are needed. The vacuum glass desiccator is capable of storing unpacked dry solid materials or small test equipment at any time for a long time. The vacuum glass desiccators are common glassware in biological and chemical laboratories.
