These glass alkali burettes are used to place the alkaline standard solution and capable of measuring the concentration of acid in liquid. They are glassware commonly used in laboratories.
The alkali glass burette is used to place the alkaline standard solution. It’s lower end is connected with a rubber tube, and the rubber tube is filled with glass beads to control the solution flow. The lower end of the rubber tube is connected with a tip glass tube. It is capable of measuring the concentration of acid. For example, the NaOH standard solution can be placed in a alkali burette to determine the acid content of the juice. The glass of the alkali burette is colorless or brown, and the brown color is suitable for placing a reagent sensitive to light. It must be noted that any solution that reacts with the rubber tube, such as potassium permanganate or iodine, cannot be placed in the alkali burette.
